End of Life Notice: RC100P, RC200P and RC300P Ribbons

We have been informed by Star Micronics Japan that they will discontinue the RC100P (30981020), RC200P (30980012) and RC300P (80980981) ribbons when the current stock runs out.

Star will continue to sell the Black versions of RC100B, RC200B and RC300B ribbons and in the case of the RC100 and RC200, we will also sell the Black/Red ribbons RC100BR and RC200BR.

Star Micronics Japan will also now fit the Black version of the ribbon in new production units. For example the SP200, SP298, SP2000 and SP500 printers will now have the RC200B as standard and the SP300 will have the RC300B as standard.

Buyers of the MP300 mechanisms will also see the ribbon changed from the purple (RC300P) to the Black (RC300B)
