Datalogic Debuts New Cradles for Datalogic Skorpio

The Datalogic Skorpio and Skorpio-GUN now have two new single cradle options. Each of these charging cradles provides a position for a single device and an additional spare battery for service in the most scan intensive environments. They use the same FPS18 power supply (94ACC4595) from today’s cradles. The new cradles differ in their communications options.

Features

Skorpio single cradle RS232 + USB, with spare battery charger:

• USB and Serial communications
• Hardware switch enables USB or RS232 modes of operation
• 2 LEDs to indicate charge and communication status

Skorpio single cradle Ethernet + USB, with spare battery charger:

• USB and Ethernet communications
• 10/100 BaseT standard Ethernet, with real-time data transfers up to 12M bits per second (bps), according to the maximum bandwidth capacity through the USB communication channel of the mobile computer
• RJ-45, 8 pole, connector for direct network connection
• Hardware switch enables USB or Ethernet modes of operation
• LEDs to indicate charge and communication status

These cradles will replace the existing generation of USB and serial single cradles.
