802.11g Wireless LAN (WLAN) now Available for QL Plus SeriesTM and RW SeriesTM

Zebra Technologies announce the release of an 802.11g wireless LAN (WLAN) option for the QL Plus Series and RW Series of mobile printers.

The new 802.11g radio option provides those who need to migrate to faster, data intensive networks with state of the art mobile printers that can support the latest wireless standards. In addition, built in 802.11i/WPA 2 (WiFi Protected Access 2) support allows users to utilise the highest levels of network security to keep data safe and maintain network integrity.

The Zebra 802.11g radio is offered on the QL Plus and RW Series and will be available for volume shipments from July 2006 onwards.

The combination of 802.11g radio technology, leading security protocols and the high performance characteristics of the Zebra QL Plus and RW series of mobile printers creates a powerful offering for many of today's leading mobile applications including retail point of sale, price mark down and warehouse labelling applications.
