An upgrade kit and installation services are now available for customers who are interested in upgrading their existing ISO version, 869MHz or 915MHz PM4i printers to a respective Gen 2 version.

Q: Who can offer this upgrade installation procedure?
A: Direct Sales, Honours Partners and Distributors.

Q: Is this upgrade kit intended to be installed by the customer?
A: While it is possible for a customer to install the hardware, it would be difficult to ensure the right calibration once fitted. Because of this, Intermec recommends that the upgrade is carried out at an Intermec Service Centre or Intermec Global Service Partner (IGSP) by a qualified engineer.

Q: Does this upgrade make the printer EPC-certified?
A: Yes. Intermec’s 865MHz and 915MHz RFID reader modules were among the industry’s first RFID devices to receive EPCglobal RFID Hardware Certification.
