Microsoft BizTalk RFID software drivers for Intermec equipment

Intermec announced support for Microsoft BizTalk RFID, which was introduced at the UConnect Conference in Nashville, Tenn. Intermec’s RFID team worked with Microsoft to test and refine Microsoft BizTalk RFID, which has been designed to allow all users to simply and easily incorporate RFID information and data into a variety of applications and end-to-end business processes. The “plug and play” functionality in Microsoft BizTalk RFID makes it possible for RFID devices, such as Intermec readers and printers, to become fully compatible with the Microsoft platform and to integrate with third-party applications and processes.

As an early adopter invited to work with Microsoft on its RFID initiatives, Intermec is able to ensure its RFID systems are compatible with and able to fully support Microsoft BizTalk RFID.

Intermec RFID equipment will fully support Microsoft BizTalk RFID. The first software drivers supporting Microsoft BizTalk RFID will be released in early Q4. Beta versions will be available June 12 in the Intermec Developer Library’s Beta Zone, found at www.intermec.com/idl.
