Magellan 1100i Maintenance Release v2.0 Software is Now Available

In order to ensure the best possible scanning performance, a new and improved version of the Magellan 1100i software has been released. This is the second major maintenance release for the Magellan 1100i (called ‘MR2’). This upgrade will occur across the entire Magellan 1100i and Magellan 1100i OEM Module product line and will become the new standard for all scanners produced after August 9, 2010. Following is a list of the improved features being added with the release of MR2.

MR2 New Enhancements

• Native support for the USB TEC interface protocol. This ensures easy installation and operation whenever a Japanese based TEC host terminal is used.
• Extended beeper and LED controls for sleep and standby modes.
• New Host Commands for enhanced remote management.

Field Population

No action is required. Datalogic Scanning will not upgrade units that have already been shipped prior to the MR2 cut-off date of August 9, 2010 and previously deployed scanners in the field do not need to be upgraded.
