Soft Input Panel Designer Now Available

We are pleased to announce the availability of the Intermec Soft Input Panel Designer (SIP) Designer. The SIP Designer is an XP or Windows 2000 PC based utility that provides soft input panel (virtual keyboard) design capability for Intermec Mobile and Vehicle Mount computers.  The keyboards designed by the SIP Designer can be incorporated into the mobile computer and displayed whenever an input field has focus.

Intermec’s SIP Designer saves time and money, as creating a custom SIP programmatically is a technical, time consuming task since there are many steps required to design and implement a custom SIP in an application.

The screen shot to the right shows one example of the several default keyboards available as part of the SIP Designer package.  There is one default keyboard for each of the various mobile computer screen sizes making it simple and straight forward to get started without manually needing to size the desired keyboard to the target mobile computer.

Mobile Computers Supported
All Mobile Computers running XPe, WM2003, Windows CE 4.2, Windows CE .NET 5.0 and Windows Mobile 2005, like 7xx series, CN, CK and CV are supported by the SIP Designer.

Demonstration Version
There is a demo version of SIP Designer posted on the Intermec Developer’s Library (IDL) website in the Software Showcase section: http://www.intermec.com/idl/.  Check out this version prior to purchase as it enables all features and functions. Note the demo version will NOT allow the SIP to be saved.

Ordering and Pricing Information
The license fee is per developer and is to be charged for each PC running a copy of the SIP Designer.  A single developer license entitles the developer to create as many SIPS as needed and deploy the SIP’s to as many mobile computers as required.  There is no discount applied to this product.
