Retirement Notice for MobileLAN Manager

With the pending retirement of the Intermec WA21 and WA22 access points, the need for MobileLAN Manager is no longer required as the MobileLAN Manager only supports Intermec Access Points. Therefore, MobileLAN Manager has moved to a late in life status and is estimated to reach End of Life for commercial sale on July 30, 2006.

Migration

Intermec recently announced (Dec. 2005) that sales of future wireless LAN equipment will be solely focused on reselling Cisco Wireless Network products, making Cisco Access Points a standard part of many Intermec systems. The Advanced Version of SmartSystems Foundation introduces basic management features that will allow customers to manage Cisco Access points as an integral part of their Intermec system. System administrators will be able to discover and monitor the ready-to-work state of Cisco Access points as well as configure Cisco Access Points from the SmartSystems Console.
