Intermec Expanded Rugged Mobile Printer Family Now Shipping

Intermec today announced that the new PB21, PB22, PB31, PB32, PB50 and PB51 rugged mobile printers are now available in the Nordic countries. The new rugged mobile receipt printers feature up to two times more memory and print up to three times faster than competing solutions, making them optimal for time-critical applications. They are the industry’s only “Smart” rugged mobile label, receipt and invoice printers to help customers increase efficiencies and boost productivity.

The printers provide maximum flexibility for a range of in-field and in-premise applications including mobile point-of-sale and service, field service, mail and direct store delivery, route accounting and manufacturing and warehouse operations. They integrate and seamlessly operate with other Intermec solutions enabling enterprises to improve inventory management and enhance customer experiences. They reinforce Intermecs position as offering the broadest range of rugged devices on the market – from mobile computing, printer and media solutions, data collection, wired and wireless connectivity, and RFID.

Key features and benefits of the new PB family include:

• Lower TCO – with the capability to host user-generated applications on the printer for independent use without need of a computer, Intermec Smart Printing™ delivers a complete mobile printing solution at a lower total cost of ownership.
• Durability – the printers enable customers to decrease maintenance costs resulting from hardware failure and associated support. The rugged printers can withstand the rigors of the most demanding environments. This includes working within a wide temperature and humidity range with IP54 seal ratings, six and a half foot (two meter) drop specification, and 50g shock rating.
• Speed – the PB22, PB32 and PB50 rugged label printers set a new speed standard for the market. They deliver the industry’s fastest label speed, increasing customer productivity and lowering total cost of ownership. The PB22 and PB32 printers deliver up to three times faster time-to-first-label than competitor products. The PB21 and PB31 respectively are the industrys fastest two and three inch mobile receipt printers which are 20-30 percent faster time-to-receipt and -invoice printing than competitive products.
