Zebra is pleased to announce the release of the G-series media handling options. The choice of either dispenser or cutter option means a full compliment of configurations and a natural upgrade path from the 4-inch 28-series to the greatly enhanced and more cost effective G-series printers.

The ability to handle a printers output in a variety of ways extends and enhances the range of installations they can be used within and provides real efficiencies to the users and applications alike.

Dispenser

The easy open - easy load design ensures the effective removal of the labels from the liner material. The one handed operation to remove and apply the print output maximises a user’s time. The dispenser incorporates an integrated sensor that detects the presence of printed output, so the application speed is maintained by that of the labelling process itself.

The ability to have the output printed, peeled and presented to the user is effective for many applications such as:

• Counter automation such as labelling letters and packages
• For the marking of finished goods, in the shipping, import and export areas
• Document tracking and asset tagging

Cutter

The ability to handle common, continuous media rolls that can be printed and cut at varying lengths provides more cost effective purchasing and easier stocking of media. The media rolls can be printed and cut at varying lengths depending on the output.

The crisp output of the G-series is finished with a clean cut. The output can be taken away and applied at a future occurrence or kept for user or process records. The cutter option is ideal for applications such as:

• Proof of purchase receipts
• Ticketing
• Automated or semi-automated kiosk applications
