First notice Intermec CK61 End of Life

The reason for this early retirement notice is to give customers the chance to purchase the CK61Bs they require AND allow time for migration to the newer Intermec CK3 and CN3/CN4 Series.
It should be noted that no new hardware or software upgrades are planned for the product line. As the CK61B moves closer to its End of Build date, low selling configurations may be eliminated from the price list.
CK61B Retirement Schedule.
The product retirement schedule is as follows:
- 1st Retirement Notice: August 2009
- 2nd Retirement Notice: January 2010
- 3rd Retirement Notice: May 2010
- CK61B End of Build: End of July 2010
Product Migration
The CK3 mobile computer is the recommended solution for IN-PREMISE use cases. With proven, out-of-the-box integration with many warehouse management systems, the CK3 provides a reliable migration path for the CK61. The CK3 comes In a lighter package with updated Windows Mobile 6.1, 128MB RAM, 512MB ROM, SmartSystems, alphanumeric or numeric keypad options, 802.11a/b/g and Bluetooth. As with the CK61, users have a choice of the EV12 Linear Imager or EX25 Near/Far Imager as well as the new EA20x 2D Area Imager.
Service
Under normal conditions, Intermec supports a product for a minimum of three years, though typically longer, after product retirement. Intermecs ability to continue support after the initial three year period is dependent upon availability of spare parts and vendor obsolescence issues that are beyond Intermecs control.
