Datamax Enhances Media Supply Hub for H-Class

Datamax has enhanced the metal media supply hub on the H-Class printers to allow the use of media cores that vary slightly from the standard 3" core. This change will be transparent for most users. Effective August 11, 2008, all H-Class metal hub printers shipped from the factory will include this new style supply hub. Printers shipped from Valance, France will ship with this update beginning September 15, 2008.

The updated printers can be identified by the following S/N:

Valance shipped H-Class printers
S/N 83751001 and above

U.S shipped H-Class printers
S/N 83230001 and above
S/N 83237001 and above

A visual check of the hub will also indicate if you have the new style or old style

If a printer was built prior to the date and or serial number referenced above, a field upgrade kit is available for purchase.

No field upgrade is necessary unless you are experiencing difficulties sliding 3” cores onto the media hub.
