Sentinel has represented a real technology breakthrough when it was announced few years ago. It enabled our Customers in Airports and Transportation & Logistics Businesses to keep under control its Datalogic Reading Stations at all time from their offices without physically move to the conveyor area. A simple system of graphics, tables, diagrams and colours intuitively provided the clearest picture of the reading station health at all times in real time.

Now, the brand new WebSentinel™ allows all this even from a remote location by the use of a standard Web Browser. From any PC and without the need of a preconfiguration, an authorised user is now allowed to monitor the performance of the Reader wherever he is in the world by simply typing a specifying address. Once connected, he will be able to monitor the System, predicting failures and malfunctioning, that can even be notified by e-mail to a list of recipients. Besides, the Software is now available for access by multiple users, selecting each of them different languages, connected anywhere through the Internet.

Ideal to be integrated in 24/7 Maintenance Contracts, reducing its costs and maximising its profitability both for the End User and for System Integrators, WebSentinel™ is now fully integrated with Genius™, the Datalogic Automation Scanners Configuration Software. This enables the Customers not only to monitor the System from remote locations, but also to connect and to interact with the device (readers and/or network controllers), changing the configuration and fixing problems without moving from home or from the office. No additional components are needed for this feature.
