Changes to the Datalogic Touch family

There have been some changes to the Datalogic Touch family that we now bring to your attention. Datalogic introduce the new Touch Light.

Datalogic Touch Light:
This product is a cost reduction of the actual Touch and it has been positioned at a very aggressive price. In order to obtain this reduction, Touch, which is a multi-interface product, has been divided in two single/double interface products, the Touch Light USB and Touch Light Wedge&RS232. Also, hardware and optics have been re-designed to optimize components. To do so, the performance has been modified slightly (wand interface removed, max. print contrast from 15% to 25% and lower ambient light immunity). Please, be informed that none of the reference competitors have better performance on the modified characteristics, and all the key features for which the Touch family are known and appreciated by the market such as speed, robustness and decoding capabilities remains the same.

Touch Pro:
Touch Pro will continue to exist and it represents the top of the range of contact readers and continuity in terms of 1 to1 interface compatibility with Touch, which is now obsolete.
