Following the successful launch of QuickScan Mobile reader (a wireless linear imager scanner), the QuickScan L reader is targeted to customers who prefer laser scanning technology and need a scanner to read 1D bar codes at nominal distances.

The QuickScan L reader is a lightweight and small scanner with an ergonomic form factor which provides the user with ease of scanning in daily operations. Considered an entry level scanner, the QuickScan L reader has been designed with durability and reliability features in mind. Each unit of the QuickScan L reader comes with multiple interfaces and various packaging options. This is perfect for the reseller to stock in order to meet customer needs. ‘Plug & Play’ kits are also available for the customer. To summarize, the QuickScan L reader is a laser scanner designed to meet the majority of scanning needs at an affordable price and low cost of ownership.

Ergonomic

The scanner weighs about 140 g with a stylish design. Its gun form factor fits the hand very comfortably. Color options include black or white.

Durability

The scanner is designed with an IP42 sealing and is able to sustain up to a 20 kV discharge in the user environment. The scanner is also able to withstand multiple 5 ft / 1.5 m drops. These features are the “best in class’ of similar scanners offered in the marketplace today.

User Replaceable Scan Window

One of the most susceptible parts of the scanner is the window. If the scan window is scratched or damaged, the scanning performance will be largely affected. In most circumstances the window is not covered in a factory warranty. This represents downtime and money to the customer when they have to return the unit for repair. For the QuickScan L, the scanner is designed so that the customer can purchase a window kit and replace the damaged or scratched window on their own. This saves time for the user and reduces the total cost of ownership (TCO). As part of this design, the user can also perform a routine cleaning of the window to achieve the best performance of the scanner.

Hands-Free Operation

The QuickScan L reader can be used in a gooseneck stand for hands-free applications. Changing applications is easy using the toggle application when switching between the trigger mode and the hands-free stand mode.

Various Packaging Options

The QuickScan L can be ordered as a scanner only or as a kit which comes with a cable and stand. For customers using either a Keyboard Wedge or a USB interface, the ‘Plug & Play’ solution has never been simpler.

The QuickScan L readers come with a standard three year factory warranty.
