Datalogic Announces 6 New Accessories for the Pegaso PDA

Datalogic announces 6 additions to its suite of accessories designed to complement the Pegaso Industrial PDA. Each new accessory addresses specific customer needs, helping to make Pegaso one of the most complete solutions in the industry.

Four Slot Dock
The Pegaso Four Slot Dock is available in two versions, one for charging only and one with an integrated Ethernet hub. The Four Slot Dock includes a DC power supply. A line cord must be ordered separately.

• Both versions provide a convenient means for storing and charging Pegaso PDAs when more than one unit is deployed in an installation.
• Both versions simultaneously charge four PDAs and four spare batteries.
• Available Ethernet communications provides wired networking for all four Pegaso PDAs simultaneously for fast and efficient data transfer.
• Minimizes clutter by consolidating power supplies and cables.

Single Slot Communication Modules
Datalogic’s Ethernet and Modem modules provide autonomous communications for the Pegaso through the Single Slot Dock for operation without a dedicated host computer. Both modules install into the expansion port on the back of the Pegaso Single Slot Dock and require no additional power supplies or cables.

Modem Module
• The Modem module provides communications through a Single Slot Dock for applications that require a dial-up connection.
• Connects at baud rates of up to 56k using V.92, which improves modem negotiation speed so you can dial in faster.
• Uses V.44 data compression for higher throughput.

Ethernet Module
• The Ethernet module provides wired networking through a Single Slot Dock for Pegaso PDAs that do not have 802.11g.
• Supports networking speeds of up to 10 MB/s

Pegaso Holster
Datalogic adds a soft nylon holster to the suite of accessories. The holster provides a convenient way to carry your Pegaso PDA and protect you investment at the same time. 

Features
• Durable nylon construction provides protection for the PDA and is comfortable to wear.
• Convenient pen pocket for markers or small tools.
• Dual snap-on belt loops make the holster easy to wear for right or left handed users.
• Designed to work with or without the Pegaso Quick-attach Handle

New Cables
Several new cables are now available for use with the Pegaso to support a range of new applications.

• The Pegaso USB Host cable connects a variety of USB peripherals directly to the Pegaso Industrial PDA. This cable provides a simple solution for connecting a tethered scanner or compatible USB printer. A partial list of printers supported by Microsoft Windows CE 5.0 is attached.
• A cigarette lighter adapter is available to charge a Pegaso Industrial PDA while in transit between deliveries.
• The Pegaso DEX cable provides a paperless solution for transactions at the delivery point using the DEX/UCS standard.

Replacement Stylus Kits
Although the Pegaso PDA’s stylus is both tough and stylish, they do occasionally get lost or bent. If you need a replacement you now have two options.
• Original equipment replacement pack with 3 aluminum styli, with the scratch resistant nylon nib
• Value option with 5 break resistant plastic styli
