The DLL2020 series will be replaced by Datalogic Diamond reader

We inform you that starting from September 1st, 2006 all the existing models of the DLL2020 and related special models will be discontinued.

The DLL2020 series will be replaced by the recently announced Diamond reader.

The DLL2020 has been a real success within the data capture retail applications and during these years it has been greatly appreciated by Customers worldwide.
Since its announcement, the DLL2020 series has been sold in more than 80.000 units, therefore, its departure must be taken as a fantastic opportunity for replacement with a much better performing product like the Diamond.

In terms of compatibility, the crossover of the product will not present any technical issue since the new Diamond is fully compatible with the DLL2020, providing at the same time additional features and much better performance such as:

1. reading speed (1200 vs. 800 scans/sec)
2. interfaces available (USB as standard)
3. new engine (better reliability)

Furthermore the new Diamond is offered in dark grey colour, a standard in the last generation of Datalogic products following the trend for retail market.

The product’s delivery is guaranteed until stock exhaustion, after that we won’t be able to fulfil any further order of DLL2020 that will be automatically converted to the new Diamond reader, prior Customer’s authorisation.
Concerning the special products, please contact our Technical Support in order to shift these products to the new Diamond platform.

Because of the impossibility to source some of the components included in the assembly due to a new Rohs regulation, we are forced to obsolete also the following spare parts.

In case of failure of these components, the complete unit must be replaced.
