Intermec CK30 Series End of Life

This is the second notice of the end-of-build schedule for the Intermec CK30 Series of handheld computers which includes now the CK30B (wireless, mono) and CK30C (wireless, colour) models.

The Intermec CK30 Series deadline is as follows

CK30B (Wireless & Monochrome)

will reach end of build in March 2009. The product retirement schedules are as follows:

February 2009 - 2nd Retirement Notice
March 2009 - Last customer ship date

CK30C (Wireless & Colour)

will reach end of build in June 2009. The product retirement schedules are as follows:

February 2009 - 2nd Retirement Notice
June 2009 - Last customer ship date

Product Migration: CK30 to CK3

The innovative features in product specs (Windows Mobile 6.1, bigger display, more memory and storage capacity, improved barcode reader technology among others) and pricing as well as application oriented benefits (RFID, Voice, etc) of the CK3 mobile computer will provide customers with a more suitable device.

Service

Under normal conditions, Intermec supports a product for a minimum of 3 years, though typically longer, after product retirement. Intermecs ability to continue support after the initial three year period is dependent upon availability of spare parts and vendor obsolescence issues that are beyond Intermecs control.
