Datalogic DLC707X replaced by Heron G

We inform you that starting from January 1st, 2006 all the existing models of the Datalogic DLC707X and the related special models will be discontinued. The DLC707X series will be replaced by the recently announced Heron G reader.

The DLC707X has been a break trough in the data capture retail applications representing the first CCD long range and during these years it has been greatly appreciated by Customers worldwide.
Since its announcement, the DLC707X series has been sold in more than 200.000 units, therefore, its departure must be taken as a fantastic opportunity for replacement with a better performing product like the Heron G.

In terms of compatibility, the crossover of the product will not present any technical issue since the new Heron G is fully compatible with the DLC707X, providing at the same time additional features like the good reading feedback green spot and much better performance such as:

- reading speed (256 vs. 100 scans/sec)
- drop resistance (1,8 vs. 1,5 m.)
- reduced weight and dimensions (195 vs. 230 g.)

Furthermore the new readers are offered in a appealing design and dark grey combination and black colours, a standard in the last generation of Datalogic products following the trend for retail market.
Due to the different colours of the two products, may be that some Customers would appreciate the opportunity for a last order of the actual DLC707X, to integrate the existing installation by maintaining the reader uniformity.

The product’s delivery is guaranteed until stock exhaustion, after that we won’t be able to honour any further order and prior agreement with the Customer we will convert it to the new Heron G reader.
Concerning the special products, please contact our Technical Support in order to shift these products to the new Heron platform.
