Intermec Fingerprint/Direct Protocol v.8.50 and IPL v.2.5 updates

This announcement will update you about recent updates in software in Intermec desktop printers family. These releases features significant functionality including:

• RFID support. Basic functions for programming the RFID tags.
• Wireless security; WPA support in addition to earlier released LEAP, PEAP.
• XMLReady™ (Fingerprint only).
• Planet bar code symbology is now supported.
• Wavelink Avalanche support – for detailed information, please see below.
• UTF-8 character set support – simplifies use of non-latin character sets.

Wavelink™ Avalanche support
EasyCoder PF, PM, or PX-series printers configured with EasyLAN or EasyLAN Wireless interface and firmware Fingerprint v.8.50 or IPL v.2.50, now supports the Wavelink Avalanche system.

Avalache can be used to update firmware and configurations of any of the networked printers, in any system.

Wavelink Avalanche performs rapid, hands-off updates of wireless devices located anywhere in the enterprise. Remotely and seamlessly, it revises configurations, synchronizes applications and updates firmware.

Support for Intermec Settings (ICCU) to create a printer configuration containing a complete printer setup, including heat settings, label types, network settings etc is available as Wavelink Avalanche files at Intermec Support web.
